What is STEM?
STREAM comes from the STEM curriculum- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. It encompasses hands-on learning of those subjects combined. At St. John Paul II Catholic School we know the importance of STEM, but have taken it further by implementing Religion and Arts into our STEM program, therefore creating the STREAM program.
What grade level takes STREAM?
All of our classes, including preschool take STEM.
What is the importance of the STEM curriculum?
The STEM curriculum allows students to learn important skills used in the workplace such as problem solving, critical thinking, trial and error, innovation, and vital technology skills. Students are learning to work collaboratively in real-world applications and this approach to learning produces global thinkers who are readily equipped for a future world and workforce.
